At least six weeks prior to the examination date, all
candidates for the examination must file an application with
the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM). The
IHMM will determine qualifications to "sit" for the
examination and will notify candidates.

The examination application fee is $100 (paid to IHMM)
and the examination fee is $250 (paid to IHMM) which must be
included with the application when submitted to the
Institute.
The certification exams are coordinated through IHMM at
computer-based test centers throughout the U.S.
Candidates will be advised of the exam registration
procedures once their applications have been approved.
